Our home – Carter Hall

Carter Hall, an example of evolving federal architecture in Warrenton, was built in 1819 by State Senator Inman Horner. In 1900, it became the home of Captain Edward Carter, a Virginia veteran of the Civil War who was wounded in Pickett’s Charge at the Battle of Gettysburg. The structure has borne the Carter family name ever since. Forty years ago, the founding partners formed the practice now known as Walker Jones, PC and opened their doors at Carter Hall. Walker Jones has a proud legacy. Many members of our staff have been with us for decades and founding partner, Robert deT. Lawrence, IV, can still be found hard at work in his Carter Hall office. Carter Hall symbolizes the heart of Walker Jones—a solid foundation, extensive experience and a long-term commitment to serving you and your legal needs.
